Send us your "cinematic tea party townhall" photos and videos!

Hi Everyone - We now have close 150 (and counting) cinematic tea party sneak peeks being held around the country (some in some very unusual places...like a cave in Napa Valley :) Do us a favor and take pics and videos from your event! Post them on YouTube and send us some links and pics. We will include them on the Tea Party Movie Blog to inspire the rest of the community!

How to Host a "Cinematic Tea Party" Sneak Peek for Film

This should contain most of the information you need for hosting a "cinematic tea party" experience for your group. Please let me (Joel) know what city and state you are in and the name of your group if you are working with one to host your sneak peek (Joel's number 678-910-3101 and email rufocused62@hotmail.com or info@teapartymovie.com). Also, I would love to have a phone number to contact you. We host our conference call every Tuesday night at 7PM ET for the growing list of sneak peek organizers for the film. Plan on joining us or having someone else from your group join us on the call. The call in info is at the bottom of this email.

All you will need to do to host a sneak peak is the following:

1) Give me a date (after Nov 2nd), time and location once you have scheduled your event and a number or email people can contact you at to come to your sneak peek. (I need that as soon as possible, esp. if you're planning your event for the first part of November and you will need that time to promote it). We will post that info on the teapartymovie.com page that includes all the sneak peek locations around the country.

2) You will need to send me a mailing address to mail you the promo packet that you will receive on November 1st.
The Tea Party Movie Promo Pack will include the 30 min "sneak peek" of the film (the full film will be about 90 mins long when the DVD releases on Thanksgiving Day on the website). It will also include some movie posters, shirts and other promotional tools. Then it's up to you and your help to PROMOTE your event!

Finally, please remember to mail back your sneak peek copy of the DVD in the self addressed stamped envelope within a day or two of your screening since it is a promotional release copy only. Today's day-long production meeting for the documentary went very well. All hands were on deck, including interactive and marketing folks. Matt Perdie, from www.Perdie.com walked in to help with editing of the new trailer. He'll be camping out on the Ground Floor for a while. It was refreshing to share the footage and interviews of our main characters with someone who's unfamiliar with the content. He was blown away with the stories of the people we are following. There were a couple times when we all laughed our brains out, and others that triggered deep discussions about issues like race, liberty, freedom, etc. It's providence that Matt has joined us. The right man, with the right skills, at the right time! God is truly blessing this produciton.

How to Host a "Tea Time Sneak Peak" movie night

We need help getting out the truth about the tea party movement and the true grassroots nature of the movement. If you are able to fill the blog with information and updates on tea party happenings going on all around the country, that's great. If you are able to host a "Tea Time Sneak Peak" of the rough cut of the film between Nov 2nd and 8th, here's how it works.

Steps

1) Call Joel and tell him you want to set up a viewing for your friends with a house party or a larger venue - 678-910-3101

2) Choose a date/location and time and email Joel with the info so he can put it on the site and help you start promoting it - recommend a free venue since we don't want to charge for the screening.

3) Download the free posters on the GET INVOLVED page at teapartymovie.com and add your date/location and time to the poster

4) Print of the posters and use them to promote your event at other rallies, town halls, church and civic functions between now and your date

5) Get friends to help you get the word out. Contact your local media to do interviews; call local talks shows

6) send press releases to local newspapers, tv and radio

7) IDEA - have a copy local tea party organizers/local activists do a Q&A panel on the principles of the tea party movement and use the movie to jump start discussion at your event.

8) Please take some pics and post them to the blog site - you will get access to the blog page as a local "Tea Time Sneak Peak" organizer or if you willing to help build the community by posting tea party related articles on what's coming up!

With only 30 Days left...

...until the Sneak Preview of Tea Party: The Documentary Film, our crews continue to shoot, developing the story. Tomorrow at noon hundreds will descend on the GA State Capitol to protest government corruption. One of our main characters, Nate alerted the doc team that he would be there and may even take the platform. The debate over government overreach has been infused with race baiting. Nate can speak directly to that issue as a black American. His is an excellent speaker. In DC marchers said they'd vote for Nate if he ran for Congress. We'll be there tomorrow as he takes this next, big step in his journey into political activisim.
